How To Train Your Dragon (2010)

          We all have pets,we call them our best friends...

       Dogs,cats,hamsters,birds and so on....

In the movie "How To Train Your Dragon" Hiccup made a friend ,a Dragon........

The entire village of Vikings fought and killed Dragons thinking they only meant harm.

 Hiccup,son of the Great Viking was criticized by everyone because he was skinny. He was just not the type to kill one. 

One day he aimed at the Night Fury,the most dangerous dragon but no one believed him.

He decided to go and meet the night fury all by himself . He feeds it food,trains it.He named it Toothless. Turns out , the Night Fury wasn't that dangerous to humans.This bond of friendship grows as time passes by.

 They become best friends but soon the other vikings come to know about Hiccup and The Night Fury.

Will they end the enemity with dragons? Had Hiccup set an example to them that Dragons are not really bad? Will he prove that Dragons don't really mean harm?

Shrek Forever After (2010)

There is this moment in life that we all come across.We wish we could just go back in time and change things. It was the same feeling that Shrek got in this Movie.

Shrek,The Ogre who was once upon a time scary,after marrying Fiona was no more feared.He missed that!... Infact, In reality all of us want to get rid of our responsibilities and avoid the same boring routine .

So Shrek signs a magical contract to go back in time and be an Ogre for a day not knowing that Rumpelstiltskin had other motives of making him sign that contract. So after signing it Shrek goes back in time and enjoys the joy of being an Ogre. 

He soon finds out that Princess Fiona was never rescued by him or anyone.She turns into an Ogre and escapes from the Tower all by herself. 


Shrek realizes that he had lost everything he had.....his kids,Fiona,his best friend donkey and all his other friends. He realized that Rumpel had fooled him.

How would he get back what he had before now??? Was it too late?

The Smurfs (2011)

This movie is about smurfs,a belgian comic and television franchise which expanded into television,films,etc.(now also in advertising,dolls,video games)

    The story revolves around the smurfs and the evil wizard Gargamel whose spells mostly are not even right. 

 His goal is to rule the world as the biggest evil wizard which he could only become once he gets the smurfs essence.

 I happened to like the character clumsy(one of the smurfs) he plays a big role in it.

 Clumsy is a mischievous little smurf who gets himself in trouble everytime and somehow lets Gargamel find a way to the smurf village. All the smurfs flee.Meanwhile clumsy,Papa smurf,Smurfette,Brainy Smurf,Grouchy and Gutsy land on Earth through the blue moon passage in Mr. Winslow's house.

 Little did they know that Gargamel had followed them to Earth.

The journey continues as they try finding their way out back to smurf town and Gargamel waits for the perfect moment to capture them. The end is going to surprise you. Do the smurfs ever find their way back home and escape from the evil wizard ? 

Tangled (2011)

                 "Rapunzel !Rapunzel ! Let down your hair....." Sounds familiar? Yes you are right!.. We have always heard about Rapunzel in the fairytales when we were small.Well,the only difference in the movie is that Rapunzel is rescued by a robber,Eugene.The story gets more interesting when they set out on the journey to see the floating stars with Eugene.

Once upon a time a single drop of sunlight fell from the heavens and from this small drop grew a small golden magic flower.It had the ability to heal the sick and injured.
The Queen of the Kingdom was about to have a baby and grew really sick so people started to look for a miracle - the magic golden flower.........

Gothel,a witch instead of sharing the suns gift kept it all to herself and used it to keep herself young for 100 years and all she had to do was sing a special song.
One day she forgot to cover it and it happens that people find it and give it to the queen.

As soon as she had it she was back on her feet.
A princess was born with golden hair.They called her Rapunzel.

Gothel robbed the child and raised her as her own.She knew the magic of the flower existed in Rapunzel's hair.

She hid her in a tower in the middle of the tower.As Rapunzel was growing up different questions arose in her mind.Each year the Queen and king released thousands of lanterns in the sky hoping their lost princess would return.On the other hand,Rapunzel sees the lanterns from the tower and thinks they are floating stars which appear only on her birthday.She wishes to go out there and see them.However Mother Gothel ignores her requests.

A robber,Eugene escapes with the princesses crown from the palace and finds no other way out and climbs into the tower.This is where they both meet and a deal takes place. Rapunzel would give him the crown only if he would take her to see the flying lanterns.

So the story continues ....as she goes out there and finds out that the outside world wasn't as bad as Mother Gothel had told her.Will she ever live her dream ?

Brave (2012)

               This story is about love and the bond between a mother and her child.

Merida is a princess who loves archery and has a totally different outlook about things.On the other hand,Merida's mother,the Queen believes in traditions and that women should not be engaged in such things and handle weapons.
The time comes when Merida has to choose her groom who could only be a prince from the close clans.

Merida did not want to be forced into it.Her mother pressurizes her.

So she runs away from the palace and reaches a place where she follows the wisps and finds herself at a witch's house.Then she meets the witch and wishes that her mother would change.The witch grants the wish and hands out a piece of cake which after consumption would change her mother forever.

                                        Merida returns home with this piece of cake and her mother consumes it.But to her surprise, her mother changes and turns into a bear.After knowing this, Merida finds a way out of the palace for herself and her mother. She goes back to the witch's house but finds out that she had dissapeared.Dissapointed! Merida decides to stay out in the forest with her mother and find a way to change her back.

This is the point where the Queen and Princess Merida begin bonding and understanding each other.Soon Merida notices that as the days pass by her mother was turning into a real bear.

A Bug's Life (1998)

 The movie "A Bug's Life" is about fighting domination and it shows that when a team work together they get the best result.

It begins with the bug's gathering grains for their offering to the greedy grasshoppers.Year after year the grasshoppers would dominate over the bug's and the bug's would follow their orders and gather grains as their offering to them before the rains.

Even though the grasshoppers were few in number they would terrorize and threaten to destroy the bugs on the Island.

              Tired of this! A bug named Flick who loved inventing new things but was never appreciated for what he did steps up and volunteers to go and find real bug warriors who will not be afraid to fight the grasshoppers.

So,he starts his journey to the city inorder to bring a change.








As a result of misunderstanding,he brings back a bunch of circus bugs thinking that they were the warriors who would fight the grasshoppers.Will the circus bugs be able to free the bugs?

Kung Fu Panda(2008)

     The story revolves around Po,a panda who is very fond of Kung Fu and lives with his father Ping(a goose) who by heredity loves making noodles.He expects Po to continue the same.Destiny had other plans for Po.

                       The time had come to decide who would be the Dragon Warrior and get the Dragon Scroll.The Dragon Scroll was very special because it contained the secret of Kung Fu which only the dragon warrior would know.Master Oogway was going to choose the dragon warrior.On that day the whole village came to see this including Po.It was expected that Master Oogway would pick one among the fast five.

That day,Po was ordered by his father to sell noodles at that place.However he reaches there by accident and is chosen as the Dragon Warrior.Shocked Master Shifu could not accept this.Oogway strongly believed that he had made the right decision.

Meanwhile,the news spreads that Tai Lung who once upon a time was more than just a student to Shifu broke out of prison and was going to destroy the entire village if he did not get the dragon scroll.Po was the only hope.Meanwhile,Shifu sees the spirit in him and teaches him Kung Fu.

Assumed to be cute and cuddly,could Po possibly be the Dragon Warrior and beat Tai Lung ?

Turbo (2013)

                                         

The movie Turbo is about a garden snail who believes that "no dream is too big and no dreamer too small".We all know snails ain't fast right!?. In the movie Turbo,Theo is a snail who loves terrifying blazing speed and car racing unlike his brother,Chet and the other snails at the plant.His brother tells him that it was high time he faced reality. Discouraged by his brother,Theo crawls away from the plant to the city.That night a freaky accident gives him extraordinary speed.The next day Theo wakes up and finds that he could race and go as fast as the car!

Theo gets thrown out of the plant for his behaviour and so does Chet.They meet the Taco brothers namely Tito and Angelo.Angelo is focused on his goal to sell tacos.He loved his job.Tito had no goal as such.When theo meets Tito,Tito believes in him and registers Theo's name for Indianapolis-500. Here Turbo has to compete with his ideal champion Gagne,the fastest car racer in the World! Will Turbo defeat Gagne?The question is yet to be answered...

Minions (2015)

The movie minions is all about minions finding the right master.As a very loyal team they step forward to serve their boss.They longed to serve the biggest villain but as bad luck,every master they found would get destroyed in one way or the other.

So,they start travelling to find the perfect leader.

Frustrated! they decide to only find a place to keep themselves safe and indeed find one! 

But still unhappy they continue to live a sad life with their same old boring routine.They become depressed.

Finally,a brave minion Kevin stood up and decided that he could not take it anymore and they had to find their boss.

Kevin along with bob and Stuart start their journey ahead promising the other minions that they would call them when they find the best master.

With pride and high hopes these three minions travel to New York.










They hear about Scarlet Overkill and decide to meet her.This is where the real adventure begins...
